Horizon Hotel, in the true spirit of Christmas, recently visited Care Haven, a charitable organisation for less fortunate children and women.
General Manager, Philip Theseira and his some of his team distributed Christmas cakes, sweet treats, a new printer and household cleaning products together with a cheque towards the children’s daily needs and care.
“We are delighted to be able to share some of our Christmas Joy”, said Mr Theseira“It’s a magical time of the year.”
This year’s prestigious and buzzing event was held recently at Suria Mall, Kota Kinabalu. The hotel proudly took home the top award for the “Most Creative Hawker Stall”. Well done Rosidi and team for your tireless efforts!
Horizon Hotel recently received an award for being one of 3 top producers 2013 of hotel nights in Sabah under the 4 Star Hotel Category by on line hotel room booking portal Booking.Com. The hotel , in addition, scored an average of 8.2/10 from online hotel guest reviews on the same site.
On hand to the receive the award from Ms Lee Voon Jean, Account Manager Hotels was Mr Philip Theseira, General Manager and some of the hotel’s Sales and Front Office teams.
As part of their corporate social responsibility, The Horizon Hotel recently visited Yayasan Kebajikan Suria, an orphanage with 33 children near Tuaran town. “The joy of giving to those in need of a helping hand should be a mantra to us all” said Mr Philip Theseira, General Manage, whilst there on a recent visit with some of his team to present a RM5,000.00 cheque and some Hari Raya goodies.

The Horizon Hotel rafting team with Philip D. Theseira, General Manager, on TanjungAru Beach before the race. The raft was made 100% from recycled material.

Horizon Hotel General Manager, Mr. Philip D. Theseira, accompanied his Department Heads to the Rumah Anak Yatim As-Sakinah to spread the joy of Hari Raya to orphans with ages ranging from six to seventeen.

In the spirit of Hari Raya of giving, the Hotel Management contributed RM5,000 to the Home and each orphan received ‘duit raya’ and a bag of goodies from Horizon Hotel. The children were also presented with a scrumptious cake to be included in their breaking of fast for the day.

The Home’s Secretary, Tuan Haji Nasaruddin Bin Muhammad, in his speech, thanked the Horizon Hotel for visiting the Rumah Anak Yatim As-Sakinah to give their generous donation & Hari Raya gifts to all the children.
Mr. Philip D. Theseira also mentioned that the Horizon Hotel family was glad that they took the opportunity to spread extra cheer to the children of the less fortunate and at the same time share the joy and warmth of the festive occasion.
